About me
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated by trying to better comprehend the world around me. Now, through my work, I have the privilege of helping others to do the same.
Journalism wasn’t my first career. I spent five years working in the UK’s public sector, learning how to make public policy, deliver services and address the little things that touch people’s everyday lives. But a trip through the Western Balkans in 2014 rekindled that childhood sense of relentless curiosity and nagging need to understand more. A small Prishtina-based magazine, K2.0, took a punt on me as an editorial intern, and the rest — as they say — is history.
After cutting my teeth reporting on major protests and political turmoil, I quickly moved into increasingly senior editorial and managerial roles. For the next six years, I helped to grow the magazine into one of south east Europe’s leading social affairs magazines. I led coverage of elections, human rights abuses and the Covid-19 pandemic, managing an ever-growing team of journalists, editors, photographers and contributors from across the region and beyond. I also edited award-winning feature articles on war crimes, poverty and issues of equality, and helped to shape the magazine’s multimedia direction.
Now based in Berlin, I’ve recently centred my storytelling on the audio domain, embracing its dynamic ability to engage and connect with audiences. My BBC radio documentaries have been heard by millions of listeners around the world — and there are many more stories waiting to be told.
I’m always eager to collaborate, blending my skills and experiences with others to create meaningful projects and tell stories that matter. If you’d like to explore working together or need professional support in the media realm, I would love to hear from you.
